When does The Courts launch publicly?+
Private beta is live in Austin, San Diego, and Raleigh. Public launch in those three cities is slated for fall 2026, with ten additional metros following by year-end. Waitlist signups get earliest access in the order they joined.
Does it cost anything to use as a player?+
No. Discovery, check-ins, reviews, and saved searches are free forever. You only pay if you reserve a paid court — and you'll always see the full price (including our service fee) before you confirm.
How does the platform fee work for hosts?+
We charge 12% on each completed booking. Stripe's payment processing is layered on top and shown separately. Net of fees, hosts keep about 85% of the booking price. No setup fees, no monthly minimums, and your first 90 days are free.
What about insurance for private home courts?+
We require hosts to acknowledge our liability waiver and recommend homeowner umbrella coverage. We're in the process of partnering with a dedicated platform-insurance provider — expected to ship with public launch.
I run a club. Will The Courts replace my reservation software?+
Not unless you want it to. We're built to complement CourtReserve, ClubAutomation, and Court Tools — surfacing your club to new players while leaving existing member workflows in place. Two-way sync is on the roadmap for Q3.
What about pickleball?+
Tennis-first for now. Pickleball courts may appear as adjacent amenities on tennis listings, but a full pickleball product is a Year 2 plan after we nail tennis discovery.
